Chandigarh, July 31: While acting swiftly on the directions given by Haryana Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, Haryana police registered 19 FIRs in connection with bogus and Shell firms running in Fatehabad district. As many as 55 people have been arrested along with a recovery of Rs.9.32 lakh.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had cheated the said recovered amount as GST in the name of Shell firms.
A complaint regarding these bogus Shell firms was submitted in a letter during the Janata Darbar organized by Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij in Ambala and had demanded action against the said firms after which the Home Minister had directed officers concerned to take appropriate action.
Acting swiftly on the said complaint, 19 FIRs were registered and 55 accused were arrested in different police stations in district Fatehabad. An amount of Rs 9.32 lakh has been recovered from them so far.
