Leh, Aug 24: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, total 51 persons were tested positive for COVID-19. Out of the total positive reports, CMO Leh received 45 positive reports while CMO Kargil received 06 positive reports. With the death of two more patients from Covid-19 in Kargil district, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has gone up to 23.
The bulletin further details that 17 patients from Facility Isolation, one from Covid Hospital and two patients from Covid Care Centre Leh and three patients from Home Isolation and three from Covid Care Centre Kargil were discharged today after their negative sample reports were received yesterday.
With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 790; 496 in Leh district and 294 in Kargil district and that the condition of all 790 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable. 60 samples were sent to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing today by CMO Leh
At Upshi check post 103 passengers, drivers, and helpers of 20 tankers, 33 trucks and 10 light vehicles were screened. Also 117 passengers and 200 drivers and helpers of 160 tankers, trucks and light vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post yesterday. Vehicles were also sanitized. Similarly, 318 passengers were also screened at Leh Airport today.
