Leh, Aug 12 2021 Executive Councillor for Agriculture, LAHDC Leh, Stanzin Chosphel convened a meeting today to discuss the Organic Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (OEDI) for the agriculture sector in giving a new direction making it remunerative.
Ashish Kothari, Environmentalist/Author gave a detailed presentation on the theme, Ecological Sustainability; Enterprise towards Eco-Swaraj which is regarding the Organic Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (OEDI) with various proposed alternatives around India and the world over.
EC Chosphel briefed the meeting of the various new schemes and initiatives taken by the Hill Council Leh in recent times to give the agriculture sector a new flip in the coming years. He highlighted several initiatives being taken by the Agriculture Department, Leh in spreading the
All the participants collectively shared their ideas and discussed several concepts as well as challenges with the experts and seek suggestions. The Agriculture Department officials, Leh informed the meeting of various schemes that would benefit the local Organic Entrepreneurs of Leh district.
EC Chosphel also sought feedback from the Entrepreneurs on the schemes that the Department of Agriculture has recently launched, especially providing subsidies on various agricultural inputs.
Chief Agriculture Officer Leh, SDAO Leh, AEO Leh, Director SLC-IT, Environmentalists, and Organic Entrepreneurs of Leh district attended the meeting.
