Today in the afternoon, one person entered in the chamber of one of the lady Section Officer of the Chandigarh Housing Board and placed an envelope on her table. The persons informed her that the envelop contains money. She objected and asked the person to remove the envelop. The said person was apprehended with the help of security guards.
The PCR, Local Police and the Vigilance Cell of the UT Administration were informed about matter. The person had been handed over to the Vigilance Cell of the UT Administration for action in the matter.
There is zero tolerance policy in the Chandigarh Housing Board against the corruption and strict action will follow in such matters.
