AAP demands resignations of Congress Ministers and MLAs after the verdict of Congress High Command
Chandigarh, 26th August 2021
Demanding immediate resignations of rebel Congress Ministers and MLAs who have refused to accept the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh, being a failed Chief Minister, Aam Aadmi Party, Punjab said that after the final verdict of Incharge Punjab Affairs, Parish Rawat, it will be clear very soon that whether the rebel congress ministers and MLAs accept Captain Amarinder Singh as their leader or shall resign and fight for the interests of Punjab.
In a statement issued from Party Headquarter, AAP MLA and President Youth Wing, Punjab Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer while advising all these congress ministers and MLAs said that they need not to make rounds of Dehradun or Delhi for saving Punjab as the same can be done by meeting the Governor at Punjab Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh and register their distrust in the leadership of Capt. Amarinder Singh by tendering their resignations.
Meet Hayer said that congress ministers Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Charanjit Singh Channi, Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, MLAs and President PPCC Navjot Singh Sidhu who are showcasing rebellion against their own Chief Minister in the name of saving Punjab, must clear their stand that whether they are with Captain Amarinder Singh who has ruined Punjab or with Punjab and Punjabis as Harish Rawat has clearly stated that Capt. Amarinder Singh will remain the Chief Minister and the 2022 elections will be fought under his leadership.
Hayer said that the rebel ministers and MLAs who had been part of the mafia under the leadership of Capt. Amarinder Singh for four and a half years had taken a correct stand though of late and confessed that the Capt. Government was a useless and unjust government which is not only responsible for the pitiable condition of law & order and looting of State by mafia of all sorts as well as failed miserably in fulfilling election promises due to which they have rebelled against Captain, but in this situation those opposing Captain will have to make it clear whether they will resign and fight for the interests of Punjab or will continue to work for the chair on the old salary. The announcement by the Congress high command to hand over the captaincy of the 2022 elections to the captain has put the rebels to the test.
The AAP leader also asked Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu to clarify his stand. He said that the entire cabinet is responsible for the achievements and failures of the government. Therefore, all the ministers, MLAs and Navjot Singh Sidhu of the Congress government are as much responsible for not resolving the issues of Punjab as the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh is.
“Does the rebel ministers and MLAs accept Capt Amarinder Singh’s leadership?” If they accept Captain then it is amply clear that the fight is only for the seat. According to Hayer, if the rebel ministers and MLAs do not withdraw their support from the Captain’s government, they will miss the last chance to wipe of the stain of joining the mafia rule.
At the same time MLA Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair while addressing Capt. Amarinder Singh said that the Chief Minister had lost the trust and support of his ministers, MLAs and the people of Punjab and he was no longer fit to remain as the Chief Minister. . According to Hayer, even if the Congress High Command forcibly retains Capt. Amarinder Singh as the Chief Minister, morally and constitutionally the Congress party and Capt. Amarinder Singh have no right to remain the head of the Punjab Government.
