Fruits are a rich source of vitamins, minerals, fibres and proteins. We should eat fresh fruits to keep ourselves healthy. We should wash fruits thoroughly before eating them especially in these Covid times. While some fruits are seasonal, others are available throughout the year.
Eating fruits does not need to sit on the dining table and eat neatly. They are so flexible in eating that a person getting late for work can eat in his or her way. By eating apples your stomach feels bloated.
Mangoes and cherries are the favourite fruits of all. Everyone relishes them the most. Mangoes are loved in all forms—juice, jam and pickle.
People, who eat fruits daily, have good immunity and they have less chances of catching infection.
Here are some health reasons on why we should include fruits in our daily meals:
- One of the characteristics of fruits is that they contain only a few calories. This means they are useful in weight loss programs as it reduces body fat percentage. They also contain a high amount of fiber that treats constipation and indigestion problems.
- As it is heard that, eating dates before bed helps regulate blood sugar levels. It also helps prevent the appearance of premature aging symptoms because it contains antioxidants.
- Fruit sources including bananas, orange juices, guava and kiwi are rich in potassium. It gives healthy fibres to the body.
- Eating fruits of different types, as a meal, lowers the risk of blood cholesterol and also lowers the factors leading to heart diseases, including heart attacks and strokes.
- Eating a diet rich in some fruits is overall healthy for the body and helps in protecting from certain types of cancers.
- Eating fruits in a day heals cell damage and overall healthy diet, which provides antioxidants and pays a positive effect on the digestive system too. Rich in fibre – Many fruits are enriched with fibres which boosts the energy like the apple, pears, raspberries etc.
