After the Punjab government increased the amount by Rs 75 thousand, now people will get Rs 2.5 lakh under this scheme

MLA from the Central Assembly constituency, Dr Ajay Gupta said that a camp is being organized at his office in Hathi Ke at 11:30 am on January 8 to give the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to the people. He said that in the camp, under this scheme, the beneficiaries are given money to build 2 rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen. He said that earlier the Punjab government and the central government together used to give an amount of Rs 1.75 lakh to build a house under this scheme. Now the said amount has been increased to Rs 2.5 lakh. MLA Dr Gupta said that in this scheme, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has increased the amount earlier given by the Punjab government from Rs 25 thousand to one lakh rupees. Under which people will get an amount of Rs 2.5 lakh in installments to build houses. He said that most of the government schemes by the Punjab government are brought keeping in mind the poor and needy people. He said that the government runs a housing scheme for the needy people. Under this scheme, the government provides assistance to all those needy people, whose house roofs are damaged and broken. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to all those who have empty plots to build houses. MLA Dr Ajay Gupta said that people who have an annual income of up to Rs 3 lakh will get the benefit of this scheme. He said that in the camp, forms will be distributed by the officials to give the benefit of this scheme to the needy people. He said that the forms of the needy people will also be filled by the officials on the spot. He appealed to the people that the needy people should bring their family’s voter card, copy of the empty plot and house registry along with the transfer, if there is no registry of the plot and house, if the house comes under the red line, then the old electricity bill of the house and the report of the Patwari of the house, income certificate received from the facility center, copy of SE, B and OBC cost certificate, no need for general caste certificate, those applying for the scheme should not have a permanent house anywhere in the country and other necessary documents. He said that in this regard, one can contact Municipal Corporation Superintendent Loveleen Sharma related to this scheme at the Municipal Corporation office Ranjit Avenue on working days. So that if any other documents are needed, the needy people benefiting from the scheme can get complete information about it. MLA Dr. Gupta said that after filling the form in the camp, the report will also be done by the concerned officials of the corporation quickly. After the report of geo tracking, the amount will also be released to the beneficiaries for building the house.
