A new initiative “Career Talk” has been taken by the Punjab Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission, Punjab Skill Development Mission and Department Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training, Government of Punjab in order to guide and counsel the youth of Punjab regarding employment and career opportunities in different sectors.

First round of this event “Career Talk in Hair and Beauty Industry by Ms. Pammy Kaul, Technical Director, Headmasters (Chain of Salon and Spa)” was organised on 27-04 2022 at Punjab Skill Development Mission, SCO 149-152, 2nd floor, Sector 17 C, Chandigarhu nder the guidance of Sh. Rajesh Tripathi, PCS, Additional Mission Director, DEGSDT by his competent team Ms. Kanwal Puneet, EGSDTO, Ms. lla Sharma, DMD-A and Ms. Manveer, Placement Officer.
The objective of the event was to help youth of Punjab with the expert opinion on the prospects of Career in Hair and Beauty industry which is exponentially growing and popular amongst the youth now a days. The speaker addressed the youth of Punjab Live through the official Facebook Page of PGRKAM. She gave her insights on the career prospects at both International and National level, different kind of work opportunities that can be pursued in this field and Health & Safety aspects involved in the industry. The speaker shared experiences and learning from her journey. All the different types of queries raised by the audience in the live session like How to cope up with the competition in this field of work, taboos on pursuing career in this industry specially in the rural India, future of Nail Industry, the kind of investment required in this field, how to gain experience and become a true professional were answered. She motivated the youth to follow their passion and dreams, irrespective of the field one wants to pursue. Almost 3500 candidates joined the session from all the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, Polytechnic Institutes and colleges in Punjab. To commemorate the event, Sh. Rajesh Tripathi, PCS, Additional Mission Director, DEGSDT presented a token of appreciation to Ms. Pammy Kaul and thanked for giving her valuable time to guide the youth of Punjab.
