Will complete the recruitment process, deliberately left incomplete by Congress: Aman Arora
AAP will end the evil of temporary and outsourcing employment: Harpal Cheema
AAP will bring the much needed reforms in the government recruitment process by eliminating nepotism
Chandigarh, January 25 2022
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema and senior leader Aman Arora said that major reforms were needed in the recruitment process of Punjab government departments and educational institutions and the Aam Aadmi Party would bring these reforms after forming the government in the state. The evil of temporary employment and outsourcing of employees, through which SAD-BJP and Congress governments have been exploiting the youth of Punjab, will be brought to an end. They said that AAP government would recruit people for the government jobs in Punjab on the basis of merit and the waiting list process, which was stopped irrationally by the previous governments, would be resumed so that eligible candidates would not miss their opportunities.

Harpal Singh Cheema said, “Traditional parties’ governments are reluctant to issue merit lists especially waiting lists due to nepotism. They have to give government jobs to their recommendations or their relatives. But, in AAP government all the rights of common people will be protected. Merit lists and waiting lists will be made public on time and with full transparency.” He said that long absence of waiting lists in Punjab Police recruitment has affected the future of many young people.
Harpal Cheema said that the Congress and Akali Dal, to promote private sector, had resorted to contract based and outsourcing recruitment. This step of prvious governments has affected the government system, departments and the future of millions of deserving youth. It was a process of exploitation started by the traditional parties to ruin the young generation of Punjab and their future, and the Aam Aadmi Party will put an end to it as soon as they forms the government in Punjab. Government employees are the backbone of the government in the government machinery and public service; they deserve honour, proper salaries and other facilities for their services but the Congress and SAD-BJP governments had only disrespected them and made their lives difficult instead of giving them their rights.
Aman Arora said that the current Congress government had deliberately left half of the recruitment process in between without any care for the time and money that young people have invested. He said that AAP government will be considerate about the youth of Punjab and their hardships. So, the recruitments which are under process now would not be stopped or cancelled without any reason by the Aam Aadmi Party government. Children and youth pay fees for exams, prepare diligently but as we have seen in previous governments, the Akali and the Congress government inadvertently cancel the recruitments without care. Money and time are wasted. The Aam Aadmi Party fully understands this and every decision will be taken in the interest of the people.”
Aman Arora said that the SSC and PPSC in the state were ruined under a conspiracy, but AAP government will revive these government recruitment processes so that jobs can be given to capable people without corruption and nepotism. AAP leaders also assured that as per the demand of the unemployed youth, the AAP government would also give special concessions on the age limit in government jobs as thousands of eligible candidates turned older and become ineligible for the posts due to Congress government’s fault and delay in the process.
