The state leadership of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) extended its greetings to the people of Punjab, especially the entire Jain community, on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. In a joint statement issued from the party headquarters, the AAP leadership including state president and MP Bhagwant Mann, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Punjab Assembly, Harpal Singh Cheema, party’s Punjab affairs in-charge Jarnail Singh (MLA), co-in-charge Raghav Chadha and the entire leadership, called on all the sections to follow the philosophy and preaching of Lord Mahavir, the symbol of non-violence, peace and mutual harmony.
The party leaders said that in view of the current situation and global challenges, the path of peace, non-violence and truth laid down by Lord Mahavir centuries ago is even more important. The AAP leaders said that it was the duty of all of us to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti with full devotion and commitment in solidarity to further strengthen the secular fabric of the society.
