District Administration Udhampur today held Block Diwas activities across five blocks of Ramnagar, Dudu, Chenani, Udhampur and Majalta, where at BDC Chairpersons and PRIs of adjoining blocks also participated.
For Block Udhampur, Block divas took place at Conference Hall DC Office Complex, Sarpanches, Panches and people of different panchayats talked with the Nodal Officer of the block about many problems that they are having.They demanded improvement of roads, release of pending MGNREGA wages, improvement of drainages, augmentation of drinking water, power scenario, Sanitation and enough supply of ration. DDC Udhampur, Dr. Piyush Singla kept a check on the activities and told that the main aim of organizing block diwas is to register and address the public problems at their doorsteps.
The DDC directed the officers to work hard to resolve the genuine issues of the people on priority. He said that the main aim to conduct such public outreach camps is to get the feedback of on going developmental activities by various departments. Seniors designated officers were present at these block headquarters to provide solution to the public problems on the spot.
