Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Sonam Chosjor, today chaired a meeting to review and take stock of preparedness for the UPSC civil services (preliminary) examinations to be conducted in Ladakh for the first time.
ADC Leh instructed the venue supervisors and invigilators to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by UPSC.

Paramjeet Chadha and Ramesh Kumar Dixit- both Under Secretary of UPSC, briefed the concerned officials on conducting the UPSC civil services (prelims) exams in the presence of Deputy Director Employment, Deleks Namgyal. The centres allotted are Elizier Joldan Memorial College (EJM) and Jawaharlal Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV).
Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh had informed about the setting up of a separate Civil Services Exam (CSE) centre for Ladakh earlier this year to fulfil the long pending demand of the youth from Ladakh, who faced difficulty in reaching examination centres in other parts of the country due to several challenges, including airfare and uncertain weather condition.
Additional Commissioner Revenue, Mohammed Shabir; Assistant Secretary, JKBOSE, Tashi Tundup; Principal EJM and Principal JNV who are the venue supervisor of their respective centres also attended the meeting.
