Following the active intervention of the Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes, the Junior Engineer (JE) of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has got his due promotion as AAE/Electrical.
Giving detail in this regard, Commission Member Mr. Gyan Chand said that Harmandeep Singh of Ludhiana, working in Punjab State Power Corporation Limited as a Junior Engineer since November 12 2010, has submitted complaint with the Commission that despite fulfilling all qualifications and criteria for promotion to the post of AAE, he was not accorded the promotion, while his subordinate employees have been promoted.
He said that acting upon the complaint, the commission has summoned the report under Section 10 (2) of 2004 from Chairman-cum-MD of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited and the concerned department informed the Commission through its letter dated November 1, 2021 that the complainant JE/Electrical has been promoted to AAE/Electrical. The commission has also sought a report from the concerned department to grant the benefit of 9 years promotional scale to the complainant.
