– Come out of the farmhouse in public, you will be forced to commend the Oximeter campaign
– Chief Minister may know the plight of hospitals from his Congress MLA from Shutrana
Chandigarh, 6 September 2020
Reacting yet again to Punjab Chief Minister Raja Amarinder Singh, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab said that the state government had completely failed in the fight against Corona and the Chief Minister had resorted to level gibberish and baseless allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party to cover up its failures. Such an absurd statement by Amarinder Singh is not only unfortunate but also undermines the fight against Corona. In a joint statement issued from the party headquarters, Deputy LoP Sarabjit Kaur Manuke and legislators Principal Budhram, Kultar Singh Sandhawan, Prof. Baljinder Kaur, Rupinder Kaur Ruby, Jai Singh Rori, Kulwant Singh Pandori, Manjit Singh Bilaspur and Master Baldev Singh said that the number of corona patients and deaths is constantly increasing. Death rate in Punjab has reached the third highest in the country. After the large cities, the outbreak of corona in small cities / towns and villages is a matter of grave concern. Acting as a responsible and sensitive government, the Chief Minister should join hands with all the opposition parties, social and religious to reach out to the people with full throttle for the success of his otherwise flop ‘Mission Fateh’.
The AAP leaders said that the failure of the government could not be concealed by making baseless allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP leaders said that Aam Aadmi Party has nothing to do with rumour monger Amarinder Singh and congress is making efforts to tarnish the image of Aam Aadmi Party by linking him with AAP. On the contrary, he (Amarinder Singh) was connected with Congress leaders and The Chief Minister must dare to muddle with those Congressmen. Concerned about the deaths of people due to uncontainable corona, the AAP leaders appealed to the Chief Minister to leave the farmhouse and visit the people and the government hospitals / corona care centers which are lying in miserable conditions. If you are unable to do this task due to your luxurious lifestlye, then at least ask your Shutrana MLA Nirmal Singh about the plight of Corona Care Center at Rajindra Hospital, Patiala who opted for treatment in private hospital due to lack of facilities in government hospital. AAP leaders said that when Chief Minister Amarinder Singh come out of his farmhouse to know the ground realities, he will adopt Kejriwal’s Delhi model in the fight against Corona and shall appreciate Oximeter campaign started by AAP in public interest.
