Amazing city Bhopal, Green Bhopal, Clean Bhopal, Hi-tech Bhopal and now Metro City Bhopal will be there

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Bhopal is a wonderful city. Now we can call Bhopal city as Metro City Bhopal as well along with Green Bhopal, Clean Bhopal, Hi-tech Bhopal. Recently, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched the world class Rani Kamlapati Railway Station here. In this sequence, metro rail transport will start in Bhopal by September 2023, which will benefit lakhs of citizens. Madhya Pradesh has touched the dimensions of development by ensuring the interest of the poor in many schemes of the Centre and the state including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. In the development of any field, there should be completion of that work and project without causing trouble to the poor person. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan remembered Late Shri Babulal Gaur and his efforts for the Metro Rail project.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the Bhoomi-Poojan programme of eight railway stations to be constructed at a cost of Rs.426 crore 67 lakh under the Bhopal Metro Railway project near AIIMS today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Singh talks less, works more. Apart from public representatives and officials, a large number of citizens were present in the programme.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said, “I am making three appeals to the general public present in this programme today and to the citizens of the state”. The first appeal is that – every person playing the role of a responsible citizen should participate in protecting the environment. Every person must plant at least one tree in a year. The occasion for planting a tree can be one’s own birthday, family member’s birthday, marriage anniversaries and the death anniversaries of deceased family members. Saplings should also be planted on auspicious occasions like marriages. Let us work together to increase greenery and save the environment. Also help in cleanliness and beautification. No one should do the work of destroying the public property of your city. In the second appeal, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked the citizens to protect their own health. In the context of corona, every person has to get both doses of the vaccine as well as use masks and maintain mutual distance. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also talked about saving electricity as a third appeal. He said that the state government is providing subsidy of Rs.21 thousand crores. Due to this, domestic and agricultural consumers are easily getting electricity at the right price. Saving electricity is equivalent to making electricity.
Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang said that the arrival of Metro Rail in Bhopal has been possible due to the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has a special attachment to Bhopal since student life. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan had also taken initiative to bring Narmada water to Bhopal.
MLA Smt. Krishna Gaur said that with the start of metro rail in Bhopal, citizens will get convenience in transportation. Gate number 3 of AIIMS is located near the venue of Bhoomi-Poojan. With the construction of the station, the patients coming for treatment in AIIMS and their families will also get benefit. Govindpura area is making identity as a developed area. Now the progress of Bhopal will get a new dimension with the start of metro rail in Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has given new dimensions to the development of cities.
Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh also addressed the programme. Besides MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, Shri Surjit Singh Chouhan, Shri Sumit Pachauri and other public representatives were present on the stage.
Initially, the Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing, Shri Manish Singh said that the construction of 8 metro stations is starting today. This section of Metro will work to connect the new and old city from AIIMS to Subhash Nagar. This work will be of special importance to increase civic convenience and protect the environment.
In the Bhoomi-Poojan programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was felicitated by the citizens and organisations of Govindpura area for his continuous efforts for development, state-of-the-art works in Bhopal, increasing civic amenities and various development works being carried out continuously. MLA Govindpura Smt. Krishna Gaur and representatives of various organisations felicitated Chief Minister Shri Chouhan with huge garlands.
Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited is implementing the project in Bhopal and Indore. Two metro corridors are being built in Bhopal from AIIMS to Karond square and from Bhadbhada square to Ratnagiri square. Their length is about 30 kilometers. In the cost of the project work, 20 percent equity is being given by the Government of India, 20 percent equity by the state government, the remaining 60 percent amount is being taken as loan from multilateral bank. At present work is in progress in the priority corridor of the project from AIIMS to Subhash Nagar.
