Ambassadors of Vietnam, Brunei, Finland, Malaysia and Lao reach Khajuraho along with their wives
Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla informed that Khajuraho Dance Festival is making its mark in the country as well as abroad due to attractive and mesmerizing dance performances. Ambassadors and High Commissioners from many countries are reaching Khajuraho to witness the performances at the 48th Khajuraho Dance Festival. Ambassadors and High Commissioners of Vietnam, Brunei, Finland, Malaysia and Lao as well as Head of Missions from other 3 countries will attend the opening ceremony of the Khajuraho Dance Festival.
Principal Secretary Shri Shukla informed that Ambassador of Vietnam Shri Pham Sanh Chau, Ambassador of Lao Shri Bounneme Chouanghom, Ambassador of Finland Ritva Koukku-Ronde, High Commissioner of Brunei Shri Dato Alaihuddin Mohamed Taha and High Commissioner of Malaysia Shri Hamid Abdul Hidayat have reached Khajuraho accompanied by their wives. This year also world renowned artists will give their dance performances. SpiceJet flight service has been started from Delhi to Khajuraho on special demand of tourists.
In the ceremony, there will be special events including the cultural landscape of Indian dance-styles and the exhibition of art-travel focus on Kathak, the art exhibition Art-Mart from other countries of the world including India, dialogue between artists and art experts- Kalavarta, exhibition focusing on the contribution of senior painter Shri Laxminarayan Bhavsar besides events like Pranati, Indigenous Knowledge and Parampara – Art Tradition with films centered on artists – Cinematography.
