Akademi President, Chief Minister Manohar Lal gave approval for the awards
Chandigarh, April 9 – Literary writers have been selected by Haryana Sahitya Akademi for various awards for the year 2021. Giving this information, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal said that the President of the Akademi, Chief Minister, Haryana, Sh. Manohar Lal has approved the awards.
Dr. Amit Agrawal informed that under the inspirational guidance of the Chief Minister, Haryana Sahitya Akademi has honoured about 100 Hindi and Haryanvi writers under Sahityakar Samman Yojana during the last seven years. Literary writers have been selected under the Akademi’s Sahityakar Samman Yojana for the year 2021.
Special Sahitya Sadhana Samman, 2021
It has been decided to confer a ‘Vishesh Sahitya Sadhna Samman’ by the Akademi to Dr. Jaibhagwan Goyal of Kurukshetra for Ajeevan Sahitya Sadhna, whose honorarium amount is Rs. 5 lakh. Dr. Jai Bhagwan Goyal has also been honoured with Padma Shri by President, Sh. Ram Nath Kovind recently in the field of literature and education. Eminent scholar of Hindi literature Dr. Goyal has published more than thirty books. Similarly, nationally renowned senior litterateur, Sh. Rohit Yadav from Mandi Ateli has been selected for the Ajeevan Sahitya Sadhna Samman, whose honorarium amount is Rs. 7 lakh which will be given by the Akademi at the National Level for overall writing.
Apart from this, Mahakavi Surdas Samman (amount Rs. 5 lakh) will be given to senior litterateur and Ghazal writer Sh. Hareram Sameep from Faridabad. Senior lyricist and thinker Dr. Ramakant Sharma from Bhiwani has been selected for Pandit Madhav Prasad Mishra Samman the honorarium amount of which is Rs. 2.50 lakh.
Dr. Amit Agrawal informed that Dr. Pradyuman Bhalla from Kaithal will be conferred with Babu Balmukund Gupta Samman for his special contribution to literature (amount Rs 2.50 lakh) and Sh. Raghuvindra Yadav from Narnaul has been selected for Lala Deshbandhu Gupta Samman (amount Rs. 2.50 lakh) for literary journalism.
For his remarkable contribution in the field of Haryanvi language and literature, Sh. V.M. Bechain, Bhiwani has been selected for the Pandit Lakhmichand Award (Amount Rs 2.50 lakh). Similarly, Jankavi Mehr Singh Samman (amount Rs 2.50 lakh) for Haryanvi language and literature will be given to Sh. Lahna Singh Attri, Karnal.
He said that well-known lyricist and thinker Dr. Rajendra Gautam has been selected for Haryana Gaurav Samman (amount of Rs 2.50 lakh) given for making the state proud in the field of literature at the National Level. Smt. Anju Dua Jaimini and Smt. Namita Rakesh, Faridabad have been selected for the Best Female Creator Award (amount Rs. 2.50 lakh) for their remarkable contribution in the field of Hindi literature. Poet Dayachand Myna Samman (amount Rs. 2.50 lakh) will be given to Sh. Shamsher Kausaliya, Mahendragarh.
Dr. Amit Agrawal further informed that the special Hindi Sevi Samman (amount of Rs 1 lakh) has been started by the Akademi from the year 2021. Senior educationist and thinker Dr. Shiv Mar Khandelwal, Sonipat, Sh. Ravi Sharma, London (Rohtak), Dr. Surendra Gupta, Ambala, Smt. Asha Khatri Lata, Rohtak, Sh. Rajesh Chetan, Delhi and Sh. Mahendra Jain, Hisar, have been selected to receive this honour. Similarly, Ms. Shruti Ravish, Sonepat has been selected for Swami Vivekananda Yuva Writer Award (amount Rs. 1 lakh) under Yuva Writers Award.
