Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav: Model Degree College Zanskar organizes programme
KARGIL, MARCH 19, 2021: As a part of the celebrations of the 75 years of India’s Independence- Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Government Model Degree College Zanskar organized a programme at the college campus here today.
Principal Model Degree College Zanskar Nassir Hussain Shabani, Nassir Hussain Shabani, Assistant Professors and other teaching staff, non-teaching staff besides students were present on the occasion.
The uniqueness of this celebration was that students as well as staff members skilfully sculptured national flag on snow under -11 degree celsius.
In his address, Principal Nassir Hussain Shabani elaborated about the importance of national flag and its meaning. He in his address stressed that this independence was achieved after great sacrifices of the freedom fighters and we all need to strive to cherish and maintain its dignity.
The Principal added that our country was colonised for centuries and the very reason of that was discontent among ourselves whom the foreigners exploited, hence we all should remain united so that we progress and respect each other as citizens of this honoured nation.
Assistant Professor Education Kaniz Fatima and Physical Director of Sports Muhammad Yaseen were the organisers of the event.
The program concluded with national anthem and refreshment was served to the students.
