CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 12 : The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Shri Banwarilal Purohit has expressed grief over the demise of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) Chairman Sardar Balvinder Singh Nakai.
In his condolence message the Governor said Sardar Nakai was an eminent farmer and co-operator who remained actively involved in strengthening the Indian Cooperative Movement for the past three decades. His contribution in the agriculture and cooperative sectors shall always remain a guiding star for the farmers. Being himself a farmer, he was instrumental in formulating farmer oriented policies. His passing away has created a void which cannot be filled, he added.

The Governor prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family, friends and well wishers to bear this irreparable loss.
