Kargil, October 31:
A delegation from Batalik area right from village Lalung to Garkone today met with Zakir Hussain, Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil in his office chamber and presented traditional khatak and congratulated him for assuming the office of Executive Councillor.
The delegation put forth their grievances/demands before the Executive Councillor and requested for special attention to the area by issuing necessary directions to the concerned departments to speed up the developmental activities.
The delegation also invited the Executive Councillor to visit the area and have a ground assessment of activities presently carried out by the different departments and also interact with the general public of the area.
The EC informed the delegation that his first priority is to solve the genuine grievances of people and assured that their demands will be fulfilled in a phased manner.
He also assured that a detailed tour program will be chalked out in the coming days to see the ground-level activities and to meet with the general public of the area.
