The district administration got a major boost today in the matter of supplying extra oxygen to the hospitals of district Rupnagar when the BBMB plant started generating oxygen at 2 AM at the dead of night.
Disclosing this here today Mrs. Sonali Giri Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar said that with the commissioning of BBMB plant, the supply of oxygen in the hospitals of the district would now be increased so that the doctors could properly treat the patients suffering from COVID-19 or other diseases. Expressing happiness, she said that in the resumption of BBMB’s oxygen plant ,which had been shut down for a long time, BBMB’s Chairman, Chief Engineer and his team of engineers, retired workers / employees besides the Army’s expert technicians have contributed a lot, who had worked hard for the last four weeks to make it operational once again. The Deputy Commissioner also thanked the Member Parliament Mr. Manish Tewari and the Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Rana KP Singh for their tireless work and help in getting this oxygen plant started. Mrs. Sonali Giri said that though the BBMB’s plant has started producing oxygen from 2 AM at the dead of night but initially 6 cylinders were filled with oxygen. “After checking the quality of oxygen, the plant will start producing oxygen at full speed and oxygen would be sent to the hospitals for use for medical purposes.” she added.
