Nuts are actually the seeds of plants. Most are the seeds of trees; peanuts, however, are the seeds of a legume. Nuts and seeds are renowned for their heart-healthy benefits, and the fiber found in nuts only helps.

Benefits of Nuts

Healthy Fats

Eating nuts as part of a healthy diet may be good for your heart. Nuts contain unsaturated fatty acids and other nutrients. And they’re a great snack food inexpensive, easy to store and easy to pack when you’re on the go. One drawback to nuts is that they’re high in calories, so it’s important to limit portions.

Nuts for Healthy Heart

Most nuts appear to be generally healthy, though some may have more heart-healthy nutrients than others. For example, walnuts contain high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids. Almonds, macadamia nuts, hazelnuts and pecans also appear to be quite heart healthy.

3) Helps in Weight Loss

They are rich in fat and calories, nuts are incredibly healthy. Regularly eating nuts as part of a healthy diet  may even help you lose weight. Walnuts contain protein, fiber, and omega 3 fatty acids, which make you feel less hungry throughout the day, meaning you will not want to snack on other things as much. Mornings and afternoons are the best times to consume walnuts.

4) Antioxidants Present

Nuts are antioxidant powerhouses. Antioxidants are substances that may protect your cells against free radicals. Walnuts contain massive amounts of antioxidants. Pecans, chestnuts, peanuts, pistachios, and sunflower seeds are very rich in total antioxidants. Hazelnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, pine kernels, cashew nuts, flax seeds, poppy seeds, and sesame seeds contain significant amounts of total antioxidants.
