Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu today inaugurated a Suvidha Centre set up by Gill MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid for residents of Gill constituency in Balloke village, here. He said that this centre is being set up for providing benefit of all welfare schemes.
While inaugurating this Suvidha Centre, Bharat Bhushan Ashu said that people would be able to avail full benefit of government welfare schemes. He said that at this centre, dedicated staff has been deputed, who would guide the residents for ensuring that their document files are complete.
MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid said that people would be able to avail benefit of 62 services totally free of cost, for which people had to visit government offices earlier. He said that experienced staff has been deputed at this centre and assured three more such centres would be started soon.
He informed that development works amounting to more than Rs 200 crore have been completed in Gill constituency, while many more are in pipeline.
Vaid said that the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is committed for providing maximum benefit of welfare schemes for masses. He said that for benefit of farmers and its residents, Punjab government is providing power subsidy of more than Rs 10,000 crore, besides many more schemes.
