Benefits of health insurance scheme will be available on the pattern available to government employees
The Chief Minister also gave green signal to the decision to provide cashless facility to the employees
Chandigarh July 26– Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today gave a big gift to the recognized media personnel of the state. Haryana Government will provide the benefits of health insurance facility to the media personnel at par with the government employees. During the review meeting of Ayushman Bharat Insurance Scheme and other health insurance schemes, the Chief Minister also gave green signal to the employees and pensioners to provide cashless facility to them under the health insurance scheme. Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij joined the review meeting through VC.
During the meeting, it was decided to give the benefit of cashless health insurance scheme on the pattern of that which provided to government employees to the fighters of Azad Hind Fauj, people who were in jail during Emergency, people involved in Hindi movement and World War II prisoners and their dependents.
The Chief Minister said that the beneficiaries of Vimukt Ghumantu Jati, Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana and workers engaged in construction work would also be covered under Ayushman Bharat Insurance Scheme. Along with this, families of Numbardars, Chowkidars, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, MGNREGA workers, street vendors, rickshaw drivers, auto drivers will also be included in the Ayushman Bharat scheme, provided their family annual income is up to Rs 1.80 lakh and they do not own more than 5 acres of land. Apart from this, senior citizens above the age of 70 years will also be given the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Cards will be issued to all the eligible beneficiaries under the scheme. Beneficiaries can show the card at the designated hospital and avail treatment.
Chief Minister said that BPL families are already being given free health insurance benefits up to Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. In Haryana, 26 lakh such eligible families have been issued cards under Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
All data will be linked with Parivar Pehchaan Patra (PPP)
The Chief Minister said that our aim is to provide benefits to the eligible persons by continuously improving the system. Therefore, the data of all the characters of this scheme will be linked with the PPP so that only those who are eligible will get the benefit. He said that arrangements would be made for continuous monitoring for this.
