Cabinet Meeting was held today at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan), under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

 Following significant decisions were taken in the meeting –

1. In the interest of the educated unemployed people of the state, Cabinet has taken a major decision to provide relaxation of five years in upper age limit prescribed for the local residents of Chhattisgarh.  Candidates will be able to avail the benefit of five-year relaxation in age limit till 31 December 2028.
The upper age limit for the domiciles of Chhattisgarh state is 35 years. Cabinet has decided to extend the relaxation period of five years in the age limit  from 01 January 2024 to 31 December 2028. There are no changes in the upper age limit for other special categories. With the extension of relaxation period, the maximum age limit will remain 45 years for the domiciles.  This relaxation will not be applicable for Home (Police) Department.
Advertisement was issued for recruitment on 2259 vacant posts of District Police Constable Cadre of Chhattisgarh Police in the year 2018.  After nearly five years, on 04/10/2023, advertisement has been issued for recruitment on 5967 vacant posts of constable cadre in District Police Force.  Presently, the process of online applications is in progress.  Keeping in view the interests of the candidates, the Cabinet has decided to provide relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit to male candidates.

2. In the meeting held today, Cabinet has decided to constitute a new sub-committee of the new Cabinet Ministers for withdrawal of the cases concerning political movements from the honorable courts.
