CAHO Doda reviews implementation of flagship Central schemes
DODA, JUNE 30: The implementation of flagship central schemes was today reviewed here at a meeting of Veterinary Assistant Surgeons chaired by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Doda, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sen.
Deliberations were held with respect to COVID-19 protocol and spreading of awareness among the general public in the respective jurisdictions of VAS centres.
The Officers were directed to have regular interaction with the PRIs of their areas with regard to the planning and implementation of various flagship programmes of Government of India.
Further, the Officers were directed to have complaint/suggestion boxes installed at all LDO and VAS centers and ensure the cleanliness of their centers, as well as the subordinate centers.
They were also apprised of the importance of the biosecurity measures at farmers’ premises to have hygienic milk production and to reduce the incidence of spread of zoonotic Disease.
Detailed deliberation was also held on the various aspects of the SPCA Act. The CAHO directed the Vets to respond to any cruelty against animals and to be proactive in its implementation with the involvement of PRIs.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation of flagship Central programmes. Including  NAIP ( National Artificial Insemination Programme), NAD-CP( National Animal Disease Control Programme) and NLM ( National Livestock Mission), Integrated Dairy Development (IDDP) Scheme, Integrated Poultry Development Programme (IPDP), Cattle Feed Processing unit. The officers were asked to implement these schemes in time bound and ensure simultaneous uploading on INAPH.
Strict Instructions were passed to reduce the gap between work-done and its uploading on INAPH before 10th July.
Downloading of e- Gopalla App. and registration of both Livestock buyers and sellers on it were also discussed.
