Government is fully alert and cautious, but spread of corona infection
Jaipur, September 7. Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that the
Government is making all possible efforts to prevent corona and spread of its infection, but growing tentacles of corona could be stopped only with the caution taken by the general public.
Dr Sharma said that till now no medicine or vaccine for corona has been invented yet and corona has not finished. India is now on number two position in regard to worldwide corona infections. Daily 90,000 people are getting infected and till now around 41 lakh people have been infected with corona. It is also impacting the State. Till a few days ago there were around 1100 cases per day, but now this number has crossed more than 1500 cases per day.
The Health Minister said that despite knowing this some people are negligent by not following the protocol. In this period of infection walking without a mask, gathering in a group could infect you and others. He said that precaution and prevention are the only treatment for corona.
The Health Minister said that there is a continuous decline in the mortality rate in the State because of the better management of corona. At present, the fatality rate due to corona is 1.25%. He said that the mortality rate in Rajasthan is low compared to the average of 10 big States. The recovery rate has reached 82% and the percentage of positivity is also low but still we all have to be very alert and cautious.

Strengthening the Infrastructure
The Health Minister said that although corona infection is spreading fast in the
country but alert and cautious Government of the State is making all possible efforts to prevent corona. He said that basic infrastructure is being strengthened by focusing on  hospitals from the capital level to district up to the level community health centre in the State.
No shortage of resources 
The Health Minister said that the State has 3018 ICU beds equipped with high
flow of which currently 872 beds are in use. The Government has arranged for sufficient beds and the department is continuously increasing the number of beds. He said recently 50 beds have been taken from the Railways, while a few days ago 50 beds were increased in RUHS. Apart from this, 100 COVID Care Beds have been increased in RUHS. He said that at present there are 913 ICU beds, of which 406 are in use and similarly, out of 490 ventilators, 113 are being used. There is no shortage of resources in the State. He said that 130 COVID Dedicated Hospitals are being run in the State, while 292 COVID Care Centres have also been developed.

Rates fixed for private hospitals
The Health Minister said that recently the department has fixed rates for people
getting COVID treatment in private hospitals. Rates for tea, breakfast, PPE kits to ambulance and other diagnostics along with all protocols have been fixed. Now no private hospital in the State will overcharge. Even those patients who are asymptomatic can be kept in hotels near the private hospitals and the Government has fixed rates for three types of rooms.
