CEC Dr Jaffer chairs meeting to discuss expansion of ward boundaries for MC Kargil

Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired a meeting to discuss the expansion of ward boundaries for the Municipal Committee Kargil.

Executive Councillor I&FC, Kacho Mohd Feroz, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, Councillor Town, Haji Abass Adulpa, Administrator Municipal Committee, Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, Executive Officer, MC, Shafaqat Hussain, and District Panchayat Officer, Kargil, Padma Angmo, beside other concerned officers attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed the proposed expansion of the municipality ward. Administrator MC Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, presented an overview of the jurisdiction falling under the municipality.

He highlighted the proposed expansion plan under Sec 5 of the Jammu Kashmir Municipal Act, 2000, and emphasised the long-term benefits and future plans.

The CEC directed that the meeting encompass considerations for manpower, machinery equipment, delimitation of wards and proposed areas.
