CEC, ECs greets people on Losar
Kargil, December 14
Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Ladakh UT in general and Kargil District in particular especially the Buddhist brethren on the auspicious occasion of Losar- the Traditional New Year of Ladakh.
In his message of felicitations, the CEC said that Losar festival symbolises the high traditions of peace, tolerance, amity, communal harmony, love and brotherhood, which the people of Ladakh have cherished and nurtured over the centuries and needs to be further strengthened in the present era.
CEC Khan said that this year, we are not be able to celebrate Losar with great merriment and aplomb due to the spread of Coronavirus epidemic and prayed that the epidemic is contained soon.
The CEC also prayed for well being of the people on this holy occasion and hoped that the traditional New Year will bring with it prosperity, peace, brotherhood, communal harmony and progress for whole Ladakh.
Meanwhile, the Executive Councilor for Social Welfare Aga Syed Mujtaba Mosavi, Executive Councillor for Works Mubarak Shah Nagvi , Executive Councillor for Zanskar Affairs Er Phunsog Tashi and Executive Councillor for Agriculture Muhammad Ali Chandan have also wished the people a Happy Losar and have prayed for peace, progress, amity and prosperity in whole Ladakh.
