CEC Feroz Khan inaugurates hostel building of Jawadiah Project Care at Minjee Kargil

Applauds social and educational initiatives of Jamiatul Ulema Isna Asharia Kargil, extends congratulations to the donors for their selfless support

accompanied by Executive Councillor Syed Mehdi Fazily, SSP Kargil Anayat Ali Chowdhary (IPS) and President Jamiatul Ulema Isna Asharia Kargil (JUIAK) Sheikh Nazirul Mehdi Mohammadi today inaugurated the hostel building of the Jawadiah Project CARE (JPC) Kargil.
Vice President (JUIAK) Vice President Sheikh Ghulam Ali Mufeedi, Director Animal & Sheep Husbandry Dr Raza Abassi, Director Kargil Campus University of Ladakh Kaneez Fatima, Superintending Engineer (R&B) Nissar Ahmed, executive members of the JUIAK, eminent personalities and students of Jawadiah Project CARE.
President JUIAK recited the housewarming prayer before the ribbon cutting ceremony, afterwards the guests were shown the hostel.
Speaking on the occasion, CEC Khan applauded the initiatives taken by the JUIAK in the spheres of social welfare and education.
He said that the Jawadiah Project CARE initiated under the dynamic leadership of the then President Hujjatul Islam Sheikh Ahmed Mohammadi has been a revolutionary initiative with a vision to make change in the society.
He further said that the JPC has produced desirable results by helping its students get admission in the top professional colleges of the country including NITs & AIIMS.
Khan said that education is also a priority area for LAHDC Kargil and LAHDC Kargil is leaving no stone unturned to provide better infrastructure to the students’ community. He committed due support of the Council to the Jawadiah Project CARE.
Addressing the audience, SSP Kargil said that the JPC is doing a commendable job by enabling the real and deserving students achieve their aims in life thereby living up to their vision of effectively creating assets from the economically weaker section of the society.
He expressed his pleasure on knowing the fact that one of the students of JPC is currently studying in the NIT Trichy, his alma mater. He assured that the district police will extend necessary support to the JPC under its Civic Action Programme in the coming times.
President JUIAK while addressing the audience elaborated upon the inception, vision and mission of the Jawadiah Project CARE. He extended gratitude to all persons and donors associated with it currently as well as in the past. He also hoped that more and more people will join this initiative by way of being a donor to the institution. He thanked CEC Kargil for his support and cooperation.
On the occasion, monthly newsletter of the JPC entitled “Worldview” was also launched by the guests.
Earlier, addressing the guests, In-charge Project Director Anwar Hussain Malik presented memorandums and requested them for assistance for furtherance of the hostel.
He thanked all the esteemed donors and apologised that due to distance from the main town as well as due to lack of space, all the donors could not be invited for the inaugural ceremony. He sought cooperation from all to continue their selfless support so that Jawadiah project CARE could continue serving the society.
Pertinently, Jawadiah Project CARE was initiated as a complete residential facility for the academically brilliant students who come from economically weaker sections of the society in the year 2013.
Currently, twenty students studying in class Xth are under its care at the Minjee Hostel. Jawadiah Project CARE is one of the many initiatives of the Jamiatul Ulema Isna Asharia Kargil for furtherance of effective modern education in the remote Kargil district of UT Ladakh.
