— Launches 2 VBSY vans for coverage of welfare schemes in the district
Kargil, November 15:
Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today virtually joined the flag-off ceremony of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra by Prime Minister of India from Kunthi District Jharkhand marking the celebration of third ‘Jajatiya Gaurav Diwas’ (Tribal Pride Day) 2023.
On the occasion, Executive Councilor, Education, LAHDC, Kargil, Zakir Hussain, Executive Councilor Tourism, Kacho Feroz Ahmed, Executive Councilor Social Welfare, Aga Syeed Mujtaba Mussavi, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, Joint Director Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho besides other district officials and officers were present.
Viksit Bharat pledge was also administered on this occasion.
CEC also flagged off two dedicated outreach IEC vans which will cover all panchayats in the district during Yatra. On this occasion, he appreciated efforts of district administration for launching this initiative and stressed on ensuring large scale awareness of welfare schemes by all departments for benefit of people of Kargil.
DC Kargil on the occasion said the campaign aims to reach out to beneficiaries of the Centre’s flagship programme’s both in rural and urban areas and appealed to public representatives and general public for active participation during campaign.
The specially designed IEC (Information, Education and Communication) vans will visit all the 98 panchayats in the district along with Officers and officials of different departments propagating various schemes of the Government of India and educate people about the benefits of the schemes and also saturate the Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
Viksit Bharat Sanklap Yatra focuses on reaching out to people and create awareness and providing benefits of welfare schemes. Through this program enrolment of potential beneficiaries will also be done through details ascertained during the yatra.
Later in the day, first outreach camp under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was as held at Pashkum B panchayat which saw wide participation of panchayat representatives and general public.
