Laying emphasis on promoting tourism especially religious tourism through aviation
During a two-day national meeting of Civil Aviation Ministers, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted various state initiatives
Chandigarh, October 18 :- Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the centre of ‘Bureau of Civil Aviation Security’ should be set up in every state. Its main centre will be opened in Haryana’s Guru Jambheshwar University or Polytechnic. Further formalities in this regard will be completed soon, he added.
He said this while speaking at the two-day National Meeting of Civil Aviation Ministers in New Delhi today.
While addressing the media persons after the meeting, Sh. Dushyant Chautala gave detailed information about the demand raised by the state government in this national level meeting. He said that the aviation hub of Hisar will be operational by March 2023, after which flights to Amritsar, Jalandhar, Srinagar, Jammu, Jaipur, Indore, Ahmedabad, Agra, Varanasi, Dehradun and Gaya will begin from this airport. He said that religious tourism can be promoted in the state and it will also provide convenience to the employees and officers of the armed forces. He further said that he has submitted a few constructive feedbacks in this regard which was also appreciated by the Central Government.
The Deputy Chief Minister expressed hope for cooperation from the Central Government in order to develop the civil aviation sector in the state and said that a heli-hub will also be constructed in Gurugram, for which 25 acres of land has also been made available by the state government. The Union Civil Aviation Minister assured that soon its feasibility will be investigated. He said that with the formation of this heli-hub, helicopter-traffic can be diverted from Delhi International Airport.
In the meeting of the Civil Aviation Ministers, he appreciated the formation of Aero Sports-policy by the Central Government and said that the State Government has made significant development in the field of Civil Aviation. He said that the state government has done strenuous work on setting up of five air-strips. He said that Mahendragarh is the only air-strips in the entire country where remarkable work has been done in the field of skydiving.
Suggesting robust initiatives to be carried out in the Air-Cargo sector, he stated that this sector holds immense potential for which the central government should step forward.
