Mission Director NHM inspects examination centers at Srinagar

Common Entrance Test (CET) for six (6) months Certificate Programme in Community Health and BSc Integrated Candidates for January 2022, session was held today at various examination centres across Jammu & Srinagar viz: Govt. SP, College Srinagar, Amar Singh College Srinagar, Abdul Ahad Azad Memorial College, Bemina Srinagar and SP Higher Secondary School, Srinagar for Kashmir Division and Govt. Women’s College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College, Jammu, Sri Pratap Memorial Rajput College of Commerce, Jammu and Govt. Women’s College Parade, Jammu for Jammu Division.

Total 3141 number of candidates appeared in the Common Entrance Test out of which 1820 candidates appeared in Kashmir Division and 1321 candidates appeared in Jammu Division.
Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K, Yasin M. Choudhary conducted a detailed supervisory visit of the examination centres of Kashmir Division.
For smooth conduct of CET examination in both Divisions, National Health Mission, J&K deputed Observers. In Jammu Division Observers nominated by Principal S.P. College, Srinagar along with Prof. Showket Zarger, Member Public Service Commission, J&K, Division Nodal, Officer, NHM Jammu along with team conducted the supervisory visit to all the examination Centres.
Examination of Kashmir Division was supervised by Dean Academics, Cluster University Kashmir.
Mission Director, NHM, J&K expressed his satisfaction over the conduct of Common Entrance Test examination and appreciated the manner in which the Common Entrance Test was conducted specially Team from SP. College Srinagar.
The candidates who will qualify the exam shall undergo six months Certificate Course in Community Health for January 2022 session from IGNOU/ University of Kashmir in designated Programme Study Centres and after successful completion of 6 months training, these candidates shall be placed as Mid Level Health Providers (MLHPs) in the HWCs at Sub-Centre level, to ensure Comprehensive Primary Health Care to the people at grass root level.
Wishing the candidates a bright future Mission Director urged them to work with social commitment & dedication to serve the needy people.
Pertinent to mention that Health & Wellness Centres are the platform to deliver Comprehensive Primary Health Care services, which are universal and free for users, with focus on wellness and delivery of expanded range of services close to the community. Presently, it includes 12 packages of services including Population based screening of common Non- Communicable Diseases (Hypertension & Diabetes) and common Cancers viz., Breast, Oral and Cervical cancer amongst the population of 30 years and above.
