Chairman of AICTE urges J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology to support ‘One Nation, One Data’ goal of GoI

The Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe has urged the J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad to support in achieving  ‘One Nation, One Data’ goal of Government of India.

Prof. Sahasrabudhe was the Keynote Speaker at Inaugural Session of International Conference on Internet of Things (IoT) at the University. National Organizing Secretary of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) Mr. Jayant Sahasrabudhe was chief guest and the programme was chaired by Prof. Dinesh Kumar.

Prof. Sahasrabudhe unveiled the bust of great Indian Scientist Sir Jagadish Chandra Bosein the University to mark his 162nd Birth Anniversary. It may be noted that the University was named after this great scientist in the year 2018 by the State Government in recognition of his achievements in the field of Modern Science.

Prof. Sahasrabudhe also inaugurated the newly constructed multistoried building of Community College of Skill Development (CCSD) and Skill and Personality Development Centre which is established in collaboration with AICTE.

Prof. Sahasrabudhe appreciated the initiative taken by the University for the Promotion of digital learning, especially Digital Learning Management System (DLMS) which was developed by the University to facilitate the students to continue their studies. The University owned DLMS is a complete solution for digital learning enabled with the features like live interaction, digital lectures, notes and facility of digital library. It has also been enabled with data collection facility.

Speaking on the occasion, AICTE Chairman emphasized the need of creating a common platform for collection of data on ‘One Nation, One Data’ concept, adding that there is a need to develop a portal for collecting information of faculties, students and other parameters of higher education in the country. The data so collected should be sufficient enough to generate report on different parameters necessary for authorities like AICTE, NBA, UGC, NAAC and TEQIP. He urged the University to share its expertise to develop the Data Collection Management System
