Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal unveiled the idol of Lord Shri Vishwakarma ji at Vishwakarma Chowk, congratulated the people, saying that Lord Vishwakarma is considered the god of construction and craftsmanship
Chandigarh, September 4: Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal unveiled and bowed to the idol of Lord Shri Vishwakarma ji at Vishwakarma Chowk on Karnal-Kaithal road and extended his warm wishes and greetings to the people present. On this occasion, President of Shri Vishwakarma Panchal Samaj Sabha, Registered Karnal, Sh. Vedpal, along with other dignitaries welcomed the Chief Minister with a bouquet and memento.
On this occasion, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that in Hindu religion, Lord Vishwakarma is considered the god of creation. It is believed that he had built Lanka of gold. In Indian culture and Puranas, Lord Vishwakarma has been considered as the presiding deity of the instruments (Yantra). He is considered the god of ‘Yantra’ in Hindu culture, worshiped and revered not only by human beings but also by gods because of his special knowledge and science. ‘Indrapuri’, ‘Yampuri’, ‘Varunpuri’, ‘Kuberpuri’, ‘Pandavapuri’, ‘Sudamapuri’ and ‘Shivmandalpuri’ are mentioned in the context of the invention and construction works of Lord Vishwakarma. The construction of ‘Pushpak Vimana’ and the buildings of all the deities and the items used in their daily use are also made by him. Lord Vishwakarma has also created the ‘Kundal’ of Karna, ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ of Lord Vishnu, ‘Trishul’ of Lord Shiva and ‘Kaladand’ of Yamraj etc.
In this programme, the Chairman of Panchal Sanstha, Sh. Nand Lal Panchal, welcomed the Chief Minister on behalf of the society and extended gratitude for making a provision of 8 percent reservation for the people of BC-A class in the elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions. He said the people of the backward classes are the most important part of democracy and ensuring participation in the Gram Panchayat is a welcome step by the state government. For this the entire society is grateful to the Chief Minister. He thanked the Chief Minister for giving a plot of 740 square yards in Sector-32 of Karnal to Panchal society. On this occasion, he also demanded from the Chief Minister to constitute the Craftsmen Board on the lines of other boards.
