Chandigarh and Haryana Journalist Union (CHJU) is organizing a state level seminar and journalist felicitation ceremony on the subject of challenges before the media on October 15 at the Rest house of the Public Works Department, Panchkula. Senior editors Sh Ramesh Vinayak, Sh Naresh Kaushal and Sh Satnam Singh Manak will be the main speakers at the seminar. Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala will be the chief guest of this state level function, while Rajya Sabha MP Kartikey Sharma will preside.
IJU National President Mr K. Srinivas Reddy, Mr former national president and former member of the Press Council S. N. Sinha and IJU National General Secretary Mr Balwinder Singh Jammu will be the special guests in this program. Giving this information, CHJU State President Ram Singh Brar and State Chairman Balwant Takshak said that some senior journalists of the state who have made commendable contribution in the field of journalism will also be honored. Journalists from across the state will participate in the function and there will be a comprehensive discussion on the role of media in the rapidly changing environment of the technological era.
