Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today during his one day tour to his home Assembly Constituency Seraj inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs 5 crore in different parts of the constituency. He inaugurated Lift Irrigation Scheme (LIS) Latogali in Gram Panchayat Saroa and Lift Irrigation Scheme Sawla in Gram Panchayat Tandi constructed at a cost of Rs. 60.22 lakh and Rs. 70 lakh respectively. He also laid foundation stones of Rs. 38 lakh CAD LIS Thach Sawla in Gram Panchayat Tandi and Rs. 33 lakh CAD LIS Kuklah to Latogali in gram Panchayat Saroa in Seraj Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district today.
Jai Ram Thakur also inaugurated Rs. 1.23 crore Forest Rest House Dharot, Rs. 78 lakh LIWSS Bassi Dharot, Rs. 42.40 lakh FIS Chandrotdhar to Dharot and Rs. 43.06 lakh additional accommodation building of Government Senior Secondary School Dadoh.
Chief Minister addressed public meetings at Saroa, Bara, Keolidhar and at Dadoh in Seraj Assembly Constituency.
While addressing public meeting at Saroa, Chief Minister said that this area was once part of Nachan Vidhan Sabha area and today was part of Seraj Vidhan Sabha area after delimitation and thanked the people of the area for giving their wholehearted support to him. He said that despite the corona pandemic, the State Government ensured that pace of development goes uninterrupted. He said that the State Government took effective steps for Covid-19 management and ensured that there were adequate facilities for treatment of patients. Sufficient availability of oxygen, ventilators, beds and medicines were ensured in all parts of the State, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur thanked the people of the Constituency for their wholehearted support, which ensured that the area gets top position in the government. He said that during the three-and-a-half-year tenure of the State Government, there was not even a single case of any irregularity. He said that his Government ensured balanced development of every area of the State. He said that recently he opened SDM offices at Jubbal, Kotkhai and Nirmand to ensure equitable development of these areas. He said that about Rs. 50 crore were being spent on water supply schemes in about eight neighbouring panchayats of the area.
Chief Minister announced opening of PHC at Saroa and opening of HPSEB JE Section at Saroa. He announced construction of Forest Rest House/ Inspection Hut at Saroa. He also announced Rs. 11000 each for all the Mahila Mandals present on the occasion from his discretionary fund. He announced Rs. 5 lakh for improvement of link road in Kandi panchayat and Rs 2 lakh each for two link roads in Saroa panchayat. He announced starting of Science classes at Government Senior Secondary School Bathli.
Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the people at Bara said that despite corona pandemic he had dedicated the developmental projects worth Rs. 4000 crore virtually for different parts of the State. He said that the State Government created 412 new panchayats in the State, whereas not even a single panchayat was created in last 15 years. He said that as many as 20 new panchayats were created in Seraj Vidhan Sabha area. He said that never before in the history of the State, such a large number of new panchayats were created in one go. He urged the people of the area to continue giving wholehearted support for ensuring that the pace of development goes uninterrupted.
Chief Minister announced Agriculture Extension Centre at Bara, Rs. 10 lakh each for three panchayats of the area for construction of Panchayat Bhawans, Rs. 10 lakh each for three panchayats for construction of link roads, construction of three additional rooms in Primary School Bara and Rs. 3 lakh for construction of Examination Hall.
Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the people of Keolidhar said that the State Government was giving special impetus to development of those areas which remained neglected so far due to one reason or another. He announced Rs. 10 lakh for link road of area, Rs. 5 lakh for construction of Kala Manch in Government Senior Secondary School Keolidhar and starting of Commerce Classes in the School. He announced Forest Guard Hut in Keolidhar.
Chief Minister, while addressing people at Dharot said that there were only 50 ventilators in the State when the corona pandemic broke in the country and State, but today the State has about 600 functional ventilators as over 500 were provided by the Union Government to the State. He said that the face masks and PPE kits were not manufactured in the country at the time of outbreak of corona pandemic but now the country was not only self sufficient in it but was also exporting the same to several countries. He said that the State had only one oxygen plant, but today there were 10 functional oxygen plants and 28 more were soon being established. He said that the State Government has also achieved a target of zero percent wastage in vaccination.
Jai Ram Thakur announced opening of Health Sub Centre at Bassi, starting of Science classes in Government Senior Secondary Schools, Bassi, Devdhar and Dadoh, upgradation of Government Middle School Bahwa to Government High School, construction of Science block at Government Senior Secondary School, Kharshi and construction of playground in this school.
Chief Minister also announced Rs. 10 lakh for construction of Panchayat Bhawan Kotla, construction of Jal Shakti Inspection Hut at Majothi, Rs. five lakh for construction of community playground at Jajar, opening of Horticulture Extension Centre at Salahar, upgradation of Government High School Dharot to Government Senior Secondary School, Rs. three lakh for local Mahila Mandal bhawan. He said that helipad would also be constructed at Dadoh.
Chief Minister also distributed silkworm rearing kits assistance for rearing house and mulberry plantation for 24 sericulture farmers worth Rs. 2 lakh each under SCSP project.
MLA Nachan Vinod Kumar welcomed the Chief Minister and said that the people of Seraj Vidhan Sabha were fortunate that their leader was successfully heading the State on path of progress and prosperity. He said that the very first decision of the BJP Government in the State was aimed at welfare of the senior citizens as the Government lowered the age limit from 80 years to 70 years to avail the benefits of old age pension without any income limit. He urged the people of the constituency to give their wholehearted support during the upcoming by elections to the BJP candidate. He also urged the Chief Minister for upgrading the 50 bedded Civil Hospital Gohar to 100 bedded Hospital to facilitate the people of the area.
Senior BJP leader of the area Gulzari Lal Thakur welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present at Dharot on the occasion.
Several Congress leaders of the area also joined the BJP in the presence of the Chief Minister.
Chairman MILKFED Nehal Chand Sharma, Chairman Zila Parishad Pal Verma, Deputy Commissioner Mandi Arindham Chaudhary, SP Mandi Shalini Agnihotri, Chief Conservator of Forests S.K. Musafir and senior officers were also present on the occasion.
