Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur visited the under repair Bhoothnath bridge over Beas river in Kullu town today and directed the officers to ensure its proper maintenance and repair. This bridge is being restored at a cost of Rs. 2.75 crore.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the retrofitting of the bridge is being done by the international company and the experts of the company are monitoring its restoration work. He asked the PWD authorities to get this bridge repaired as per the directions of the experts.
The Chief Minister also visited the site near bus stand Kullu and directed the authorities to explore the possibilities for construction of a parking slot at this place to facilitate the people of the area.
Later, the Chief Minister visited the “Dev Sadan” Kullu the venue of proposed office bearers meeting of BJP Mandi Parliamentary area to be presided over by the National BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday.
He also listened to the public grievances at circuit house Kullu and asked the concerned authorities to redress their grievances on priority.
Education Minister Govind Thakur, MLAs Surinder Shourie and Rakesh Jamwal, former MP Maheshwar Singh, OSD to Chief Minister Shishu Dharma, Deputy Commissioner Kullu Ashutosh Garg, SP Gurdev Sharma, Superintending Engineer PWD K.K. Sharma, senior district level officers and other officers were present on the occasion.
