CM Dr. Mohan Yadav lays foundation of Multidisciplinary Regional Training Institute of Railways

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav laid the foundation of the multi-disciplinary regional training institute near Indira Nagar on Agar Road Ujjain here today. With the city will have another new dimension its development, which will be a gift for the people.

Addressing the foundation ceremony, Dr. Yadav said that the government is also developing and expanding railways services. The Central Government has spent Rs 13 thousand 672 crore for the development of railways. He said that there used to be a narrow gauge railway line on which the bhoomi pujan was performed. Soon a multi-disciplinary regional training institute will start here. Railway officers and employees will be trained in order to enhance the quality of their services.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that an action plan will be prepared for Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain. The airstrip of Ujjain city will be upgraded to ease road and air travel.

MP Shri Anil Firoziya said that the Central government will build a multidisciplinary regional training institute at a cost of Rs 175 crore. Later, work in the second phase will also start soon. Shri Firoziya said that the Government of India has sanctioned about Rs 850 crore to develop the railway station of Ujjain city on the lines of the international airport and in the first phase, work will start with Rs 468 crore to upgrade the railway station.

It may be noted that before the construction of North Western Railway, there was a regional training school in Udaipur in Western Railway. After the creation of the new zone, Udaipur station was included in the jurisdiction of North-Western Railway. Due to this, Regional Training Institute Udaipur comes under North Western Railway. In order to provide training facilities as per the rules to the safety and technical category employees and supervisors of various divisions of Western Railway, there was a need for a separate training center for Western Railway. Therefore, a multidisciplinary regional training institute was need of the hour. It will constructed on 13 thousand 739 square meters with a hostel facility, smart classroom, model room, computer room, kitchen/dining hall, entertainment facility, dispensary, amphitheater, library, conference room, convenience shop etc.
