Tournament to begin from January 3, 400 players to participate

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the 29th IES-Digiana Inter Press Cricket Tournament to be held in Bhopal. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora and Shri Rajendra Shukla will also be present on this occasion. The tournament will be held at the Old Campion ground from January 3. More than 400 players associated with the media of the state will take part in the tournament. The tournament will be played in three groups. Interested teams can submit their entries till January 2. The draw will be held on the same day (January 2). After the draw, other teams will not get a chance in the tournament. All preparations related to the tournament have been completed.
It may be noted that like every year, this year too the tournament will be held in T-20 format. Almost 90 percent of the matches of the tournament will be played at Old Campion ground. All the teams will also get a chance to play one match each at RNTU or Faith Cricket Ground.
The tournament will start with a friendly match between Indore Media and Bhopal Media XI. Like every year, the winning team of the tournament will be given a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and the runner-up will be given a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
