CM Shri Chouhan Condoles the Death of Pt. Birju Maharaj

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Pt. Birju Maharaj has made an invaluable contribution in establishing the Kathak style of Indian dance on the world stage and keeping the youth connected with dance and classical music. His passing away from the world is an irreparable loss to the entire art world. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said in his tweet that “The country has lost one of its precious gems in the form of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj, the Kathak legend who ensured Indian dance-art a unique place in the world and brought reputation to it. His passing away is an irreparable loss to the entire art world. May God give him a place at his lotus feet.”
