Chief Minister Shri Chouhan paid floral tributes to scientist Dr. Jagdish Chandra Bose on his anniversary

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid homage to scientist Dr. Jagdish Chandra Bose on his anniversary by paying floral tributes on his picture in the auditorium. Dr. Jagdish Chandra Bose was born on November 30, 1858 in undivided India in Bengal (now Memensingh of Faridpur in Dhaka district of Bangladesh).
Since childhood, Dr. Bose had great attachment with trees and plants. Along with this, he was also fond of reading Mahabharata, Gita and Ramayana. Shri Bose was not only the first scientist to work on the optics of radio and microwaves, he had also proved that there is life in plants too.
Dr. Bose was a famous scientist of India, who had deep knowledge of physics, biology, botany and archaeology. He was the first scientist to work on the optics of radio and microwaves. He made many important discoveries in botany. He was the first scientific researcher of India. Sir Bose was the first scientist in India to obtain an American patent. He is also considered the father of radio science. Dr. Bose also used to write science fiction. He is also considered the father of Bengali science fiction.
Dr. Bose passed away on November 23, 1937 in Calcutta.
