Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid obeisance to Shri Pyarelal Khandelwal on his death anniversary. Shri Chouhan garlanded Shri Khandelwal’s portrait in the auditorium at his residence. Remembering former Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha member and senior leader Late Shri Pyarelal Khandelwal ji on his death anniversary, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan tweeted that ‘You will always remain in the hearts of the people through your works of service to the nation and public.’

Shri Pyarelal Khandelwal was born on April 6, 1929 in Charmandali village, Sehore district. He rendered his strong leadership in the distribution of secret pamphlets published by Pragya Mandal group of revolutionaries and patriots in Indore, and student movement in Maheshwari Vidyalaya. Despite being subjected to harsh torture and caning for raising slogans of Vande Mataram, Pyarelal ji continued to worship ‘Bharat Mata’. As a result of this, the important task of giving direction to the politics of independent India later was in his hands.
