Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid homage to the revolutionary of freedom struggle Shri Vasudev Balwant Phadke on his anniversary. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan garlanded his portrait in the auditorium at his residence. Shri Vasudev Balwant Phadke was born on 4th November, 1845 in Kelshi village of Konkan. He was a revolutionary of India’s freedom struggle, who is called Adi Krantikari. He was disturbed to see the pathetic condition of the farmers during the British period. He firmly believed that “Swaraj” is the only cure for this disease. He followed the armed path to attain freedom. Vasudev Balwant Phadke did the work of awakening the people to revolt against the British. Collecting the Koli, Bhil and Dhangad communities of Maharashtra, he created a revolutionary organisation named ‘Ramoshi’. He passed away on 17 February 1883.
