CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid homage to ShriKrishna Saral on his death anniversary. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan garlanded his portrait in the auditorium of the residence. ShriKrishna Saral was a freedom fighter, poet and writer. He wrote many books on Indian revolutionaries in which there are fifteen epics. Saral ji has done his entire writing on Indian revolutionaries only. “Shri Krishna Saral Puraskar” is given every year by the Sahitya Academy of Madhya Pradesh for poetry named after ShriKrishna Saral.

ShriKrishna Saral was born on January 1, 1919 in Ashok Nagar, Madhya Pradesh. After retiring from the post of teacher, he remained engaged in the service of literature for life. In the latter part of his life, Saralji, influenced by spiritual thinking, wrote three epics – Tulsi Manas, Saral Ramayana and Sitayan. Saral ji passed away on September 2, 2000.
