CM Shri Chouhan planted saplings with Dream Bhopal Green Bhopal Foundation

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted saplings of Karanj and Gulmohar in Smart Garden today. Shri Sparsh Dwivedi and Sushri Deepa Soni of Dream Bhopal Green Bhopal Social and Environment Welfare Foundation were present during the plantation. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan is also encouraging community participation in environmental protection activities by planting saplings every day as part of his resolve.

Foundation aims to make Bhopal the greenest and cleanest capital of India. To achieve this objective, more than 14 thousand saplings have been planted by the organisation in the last 2 years, which play an important role in keeping the environment clean. The organisation has also planted more than 6 thousand trees for the mini forest near the airport with the help of the Municipal Corporation. The organisation is also the Swachhata Brand Ambassador of Municipal Corporation Bhopal for the last two years.

The organisation worked with the district disaster management team during the Corona period, in which food packets were provided to more than 15 thousand migrant labourers and needy persons and ration to 2 thousand families. The organisation has also cooperated with the District Crisis Management Committee in providing plasma and blood at the earliest.

A sapling was presented to Chief Minister Shri Chouhan by Ms. Deepa Soni on behalf of the organization. The Karanj plant planted today is considered important in Ayurvedic medicine. Karanj plant is also used in religious works.Gulmohar is one of the most beautiful trees in the world. Flowers blooming in large clusters between the leaves give a distinct attraction to the tree. In summer Gulmohar trees are laden with flowers instead of leaves. It is also rich in medicinal properties.
