CM Shri Chouhan will distribute the amount to children of Covid Bal Seva Yojana
October 6
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will distribute amounts to the child beneficiaries of ‘Mukhyamantri Covid Bal Seva Yojna’ on Thursday, October 7 at 5 pm at Minto Hall. Along with this, Shri Chouhan will give acceptance letters to four new child beneficiaries of Bhopal, Sehore and Raisen on the stage and will meet 16 children. Under the programme, an amount of Rs 14.10 lakh will be transferred to 282 newly eligible child beneficiaries at the rate of Rs 5000 per month. So far 1360 orphan children of the state have been benefitted under the Chief Minister Covid Bal Seva Yojana.

It is noteworthy that during Covid-19, many children have become orphans due to the death of their parents. In most of the situations no support was available for their care and protection and the relatives were also not ready to maintain such children due to financial difficulties. In such a situation, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan decided to take responsibility of these children with sensitivity. For the first time in the country, ‘Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Bal Seva Yojana’ was launched taking a pioneering initiative to help the children orphaned by the Covid-19 epidemic. Apart from financial assistance to such children, provision has also been made by the state government for their free education and ration.

Due to the death of parents due to Covid in the state, about 2022 children who came under adverse circumstances, who are not eligible under this scheme, are being benefitted under the sponsorship scheme in the state. Besides, about 709 children have also been benefitted under private sponsorship in the state.
