Community level winter coaching classes conclude at Darchiks village
KARGIL FEBRUARY 24, 2021: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan said that in the present era of competition, education is counted among the most basic necessities for human life and need of the hour is to lay stress on education of the children which plays a pivotal role towards the overall development of the young minds as they step into adulthood.
The CEC stated this while addressing students and parents during the concluding ceremony of 3 months long coaching classes at Darchiks village here today.
Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Kargil Nargis Banoo, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Nambardars, villagers, parents and students were present on the occasion.
The CEC while appreciating the villagers, local volunteers and teachers concerned for having started the winter coaching classes in the village urged them to make it an annual feature so that the student community at large is benefitted.
CEC Khan also assured that all necessary measures will be taken for development and renovation of the meeting hall in the village for smooth operation of classes in coming years. He also assured to extend the premises and up gradation of the existing middle school at Darchiks.
Responding to various other demands projected by the villagers, the CEC assured to develop a playground near the village middle school and a snow ski rink at an appropriate place to train young players in Ice Hockey.
The CEC also announced an amount of Rs 20,000 for the students and teachers of the winter coaching center, and also promised to provide the coaching center with a computer set, projector and stationery items.
Meanwhile, the CEC also felicitated the teachers by presenting traditional khataks and also presented prizes to the students who had recently participated in the Kabadi and Race competitions.
The students also presented colorful folk music and dance performances on the occasion.
