Constitution Day celebrated by DLLLE, PU

The Department of Life Long Learning and Extension, Panjab University organised an online webinar to celebrate Constitutional Day.The faculty members, students, alumni members and staff members of Life Long Learning attended the webinar.
Dr. Paramjit Singh Kang, Chairperson,elaborated the history of the making of the Constitution. He said the Constituent Assembly of India prepared this, one of the longest and most elaborate Constitution in about 2 years. The Constitution was completed by 26th November, 1949 but to remember the importance of 26th January 1929 it was not fully implemented on 26th November 1949. But it was formally adopted on this date and some part of it was operational and it was fully implemented on 26th January, 1950. It was declared as Republic Day which India celebrates every year with great pomp and show.
Dr. Kang emphasised that all the rights, all the developments we the citizens of India are enjoying is because of this Constitution. All corona protocols were observed by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
