Along With Giving Bonus on Milk, Members of Cooperative Institutions in Other Sectors Will Also Be Benefited
State-Level Conference held under International Year of Cooperatives 2025
Bhopal, 26 March 2025
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that the Madhya Pradesh government is working with resolutions for the welfare of all. Currently, due to a transparent working style from Panchayat to the Secretariat, the cooperative sector has prospered along with other sectors. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Mr. Amit Shah have provided guidance to work with the spirit of bahujan hitay-bahujan sukhay (welfare and happiness for all) to benefit the cooperative sector. Madhya Pradesh will certainly write a new story in the field of cooperatives. Just like the bonus system on milk in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh is also progressing in this direction. Additionally, Madhya Pradesh has a large area for fisheries, and recently, in the Global Investors Summit, the cooperative sector also initiated working with the industrial sector. The cooperative movement in Madhya Pradesh is gaining momentum. Now, the systems in the cooperative sector are quite transparent, and various aspects of cooperatives will be worked upon in Madhya Pradesh. In the next four years, the cooperative movement will reach new heights.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the state-level program of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 at Coordination Bhavan on Wednesday. Dr. Yadav welcomed the participants from across the state at the conference. He also handed over appointment letters to newly appointed cooperative inspectors in the cooperative department. Dr. Yadav appreciated the efforts of the cooperative department.
Other countries learn from India’s systems
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that India has a long history of cooperatives. In ancient India, there was the tradition of the Ashwamedha Yajna. However, India never conquered any nation. It did not abolish the autonomy of small states but worked together with them and kept their self-sufficiency alive. If any nation truly follows the spirit of the United Nations, it is India. When it is said Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah (May all be happy, may all be free from illness), it means connecting everyone together and making them participants in one’s success. This is the abbreviated form of the Vedic saying Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family). Prime Minister Mr. Modi has worked to enhance India’s dignity in the world.
Work will be done in MP according to the vision of PM Modi
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Mr. Modi envisioned multi-purpose cooperative societies in line with the core principles of cooperation. To realize this, the responsibility was given to Union Minister Mr. Amit Shah. The central government has focused on ensuring the welfare of all in the cooperative sector. In Madhya Pradesh, work is also being done in this direction. As a result of changes in the Cooperative Act, the process of society registration will now be completed in 30 days, whereas it used to take 90 days earlier. Previously, many difficulties had to be faced in this process. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Mr. Modi, efforts have been made to simplify procedures in the cooperative sector. He has worked towards making cooperatives multi-dimensional and multi-purpose. Dr. Yadav said that not only individuals but cooperatives will also be ensured participation in industrialization. Madhya Pradesh will ensure more benefits for farmers, cattle breeders, and fish farmers in the cooperative sector and will reach the pinnacle in this field.
Cooperative flag hoisting, release of calendar, manual, and circular booklet
Dr. Yadav started by hoisting the cooperative flag and releasing the annual calendar, PACS work manual, and important circular booklets related to cooperation, PACS restructuring, and business promotion for the International Year of Cooperatives 2025. Along with this, he also inaugurated the Micro ATM Fortnight. Dr. Yadav presented awards to cooperative societies, dairy cooperative institutions, and fish farmer cooperative institutions for their excellent work. The institutions from Vidisha, Indore, and Khargone were among the awardees.
